Using CAR Confidence
How to use George, the AI voice in your report
George reads your paid report the way a friend who knows cars would. He gives you one clear view of the car on its record, says why and tells you what to ask the seller. You can read his verdict or listen to it.

What does George do on a CAR Confidence report?
George is the AI voice on every paid CAR Confidence report. He reads the car’s record and gives you his position in plain English, the points for and against, questions to put to the seller and a line on the price. Read his verdict on the report or have it sent to WhatsApp as a voice note.
What George’s verdict tells you
| Part of the verdict | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| The label at the top | Where George stands on this car in a few words, such as Worth viewing or Only with good answers |
| The two sentences under it | His judgement of the car on its record, then the one or two facts that decide it |
| For | The strongest points in the car’s favour |
| Against | What counts against it, with anything legal on the record put first |
| At the viewing | Up to two questions for the seller that you can ask without knowing cars |
| Price | Where the asking price sits against the valuation, if you gave one |
How to read it
The label comes from a fixed set, so it means the same on every car. Put two reports side by side and you can see which car George is happier with before you read a word of the detail.
George only knows what the records say. He won’t tell you to buy a car or to leave it. He tells you what the record supports doing next: going to see it, asking questions first or getting something resolved.
Where a fault on the record decides his view, he says what a fault like that can turn out to be. An oil leak can be a cheap seal or the start of a bigger repair. George can’t tell which from a record, so he says when it is worth a garage’s opinion.
How to get George’s voice note on WhatsApp
- Open your paid report and find George’s verdict.
- Tap the green WhatsApp button at the top of his verdict.
- Give it a few moments while the voice note is prepared. A line on the page tells you what happens next.
- Tap Open WhatsApp. It opens on a new chat with a short message already written for you.
- Press send. George replies in that chat with your voice note.
The message ends in a reference. That is how George knows which report to talk about, so send the message as it is.
You don’t need WhatsApp to listen. At the end of the report, choose Hear George’s summary and the voice note plays on the page.
Using George at a viewing
George’s questions come from this car’s own record, so they are worth asking as he wrote them.
- Listen to the voice note before you set off, so you know what you’re going to ask.
- Put the questions under At the viewing to the seller. Ask to see any receipt George mentions.
- Where George says only a garage can tell, have one look at the car before you pay.
- Download the PDF if you want his written verdict on your phone without a signal.
George reads the car’s records. He never sees the car itself. See the car, check the paperwork and pay a mechanic to look if you’re spending a lot.

What George covers on each report
| Report | What George’s verdict rests on |
|---|---|
| Car Health Check | The MOT history, the mileage and the asking price |
| CAR Confidence Score | All of that, plus the finance, stolen and write-off records and the number of previous keepers |
On a Car Health Check, George says plainly that stolen, finance and write-off records are not checked. His voice note ends on the same point. A good verdict on condition says nothing about whether a car is clear to buy.
What George can’t do
- See the car. He reads records, so anything that has happened since the last test or entry is unknown to him.
- Diagnose a fault. He can say what a recorded fault can mean. Only a garage can say what it is.
- Promise anything. An AI can get things wrong, so check whatever matters to you against the records in your report.

FAQ
Questions people ask
Is George a real person?
No. George is an AI voice. He reads the records in your report and puts them into plain English. Nobody has inspected the car for you.
Do I get George on the free check?
No. George’s verdict and voice note come with the two paid reports: the Car Health Check and the CAR Confidence Score.
Why does WhatsApp open with a message I didn’t write?
So that you have nothing to type. The message asks for your voice note and carries a reference to your report. Press send and George replies with the voice note.
WhatsApp says my audio has expired. What do I do?
Go back to your report and tap the WhatsApp button again. A voice note is prepared when you ask for it and is kept for a short while.
Does the voice note say the same as the written verdict?
It covers the same ground. The written verdict is short so you can compare cars quickly. The voice note is George talking you through it.
